Kei Ikawa
Kei Igawa was born in Shanghai, China. Her father is a Japanese graduate of the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Law, and her mother is a Chinese professional in international trade. At the age of 15, she embarked on a study abroad journey, completing her education in New Zealand and the United States. In 2010, Ikawa co-founded Forest Garden Inc., a real estate company that has since grown into a business with an annual turnover exceeding 10 billion yen.
In 2014, she earned a Master’s degree in International Business Administration (MBA) and simultaneously delved into the fields of architecture and design. In 2022, she successfully acquired DESIGN DO Inc., becoming its representative director and sole shareholder. Under her leadership, DESIGN DO has excelled in high-end residential design, commercial space planning, and furniture and building materials innovation.
In 2024, DESIGN DO opened its European furniture showroom, pioneering the introduction of trendy European furniture brands into the Japanese market.
